class name for focus purposes

It's hard to tell when the knob has focus. I'd like to be able to define a :focus state in css by being able to set the class name of the element holding focus. I'm requesting that add. If I can free up some time, I'll take a look at the code and see if it's an easy pull request. I'm maxed at the moment.
