Tested using Tidy 5.8.0 on Debian.

Add a tag with nowrap like this
<td nowrap> Yes</td>

Run

tidy -ashtml _input_file.html

Tidy keeps the above td tag unchanged. And it also recommands validating the output using https://validator.w3.org/nu/

However the validator shows an error for nowrap:
The nowrap attribute on the td element is obsolete. Use CSS instead(http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Presentational_elements_and_attributes).
