As I'm moving from Homematic-System to Homeassistant as master platform I was surprised that personal VPN isn't implemented yet. My previous used apps @Home and Pocket Control are able to use connection via personal VPN: |

Any updates on this topic? It would help a lot to making it even more secure, of course if you only use HA remote to change stuff, you just could use full device VPN but if you also want to receive push notifications, it would make a lot more sense to use Van on demand. |

Actually my home assistant is exposed on the web behind a Unifi device which provide VPN capabilities.
Apple provide a way to implement VPN On demand https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/personal_vpn/vpn_on_demand_rules
The idea would be to activate all traffic to home assistant instead through the VPN
