I often use the numpad for unicode sequences, and it often gets in the way when trying to use something like e.g. page down, which is bound to numpad 3. It would be nice, if possible, to have a way to ignore this... or is this related to #133?

This is purely dependent on your terminal config. The terminal sees the final input keycode, num lock is handled either in hardware or on OS level.
