HOLY MOLY! I got all LV2 working PERFECTLY by just loading Carl Rack as an instrument and then loading whatever LV2 synths into that!

Carla should work fine even with Windows VST dll's, as far as I know (though had no time to check this)

Sorry if I comment on a closed issue but LV2 support would be very important since VST2 is officially discontinued and can't be redistributed and VST3 support on GNU/Linux is a bit lacking.

There are forks of JUCE which support LV2, like lv2-porting-project/JUCE. By using those, you can get around JUCE's policy of not maintaining a LV2 backend. Thanks!

I know this thread is old as dirt, but – how do I load Carla as an instrument in Helio? I can not get it to turn up. (I'm running both Helio and Carla as Flatpaks, with JACK.)
