By default, this uses the newer port 7345 to talk to the tv. This doesn't take into account older TVs with firmware older than 4.0 like mine. The workaround is to put in the port number into the IP address.
On firmware versions older than 4.0 the API server runs on port 9000, on 4.0 and newer the API server runs on port 7345. Both are using https and will not respond to http. - Vizio SmartCast API (2016+ Models)
