Terraform (and AzureRM Provider) Version

2.13.0

Affected Resource(s)

  • azurerm_mysql_server

Expected Behavior

I want to use:

  ssl_enforcement_enabled           = true
  ssl_minimal_tls_version_enforced  = "TLS1_2"

terraform apply shows:

~ ssl_minimal_tls_version_enforced  = "TLSEnforcementDisabled" -> "TLS1_2"

but in azure portal nothing changes and another terraform apply shows again

~ ssl_minimal_tls_version_enforced  = "TLSEnforcementDisabled" -> "TLS1_2"

minimal tls version should be changed

Actual Behavior

it stays disabled

Steps to Reproduce

  1. terraform apply

Hi @MikeMichel
I've done some testing on the 2.18 release and this does appear to be resolved now as mentioned by @yupwei68 (see below). I'm going to close this issue for now, but if you still experience this issue using 2.18 we can re-open it.

Update: this is only fixed for create operations, the bug remains in updates, should be fixed by #7307 which should be in 2.19.0 of the provider.

This has been released in version 2.19.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:

provider "azurerm" {
    version = "~> 2.19.0"
}
# ... other configuration ...
