Description

Azure Shared Image Versions supports Zone-Redundant storage (Standard_ZRS).

This is a must-have if you are running a VM Scale Set that uses ZRS for higher availability. Otherwise, if the zone with the image version fails, the VMSS will fail even though that is available in multiple zones.

Please add this attribute to the AzureRM provider.

Potential Terraform Configuration

Please add to the target_region block an optional:

storage_account_type = "ZRS"         # <--- Should translate to "storageAccountType":
                                                             # "Standard_ZRS" in AzureRM
resource "azurerm_shared_image_version" "my_image" {
  name   = "myimage"
  ...
  target_region {
    name                                     = "EU West"
    regional_replica_count         = "1"
    storage_account_type = "ZRS" # <---- Not supported by the AzureRM provider yet
  }
}

This has been released in version 1.40.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:

provider "azurerm" {
    version = "~> 1.40.0"
}
# ... other configuration ...
