This issue was originally opened by @rifaterdemsahin as hashicorp/terraform#19131. It was migrated here as a result of the provider split. The original body of the issue is below.


Thank you for opening an issue. I need to be able to create a standart SSD in Azure linux VM.

Could not see it here.

Hi @rifaterdemsahin,

Thanks for pointing this out, the documentation for managed disks is incorrect. There is an SSD option StandardSSD_LRS that you can pass in.

I have opened a #2118 to correct this (and add the Ultra SSD option in the next release 🙂)

hi @rifaterdemsahin

Just to let you know that this has been released as a part of v1.18 of the AzureRM Provider (the full changelog is available here). You can upgrade to this by specifying the version in the provider block (as shown below) and then running terraform init -upgrade

provider "azurerm" {
  version = "=1.18.0"
}
