Description

AWS released a new feature that allows to use AD Authentication with AWS Transfer service through AWS AD managed services.

New or Affected Resource(s)

Potential Terraform Configuration

resource "aws_transfer_server" "example" {
  endpoint_type = "PUBLIC"
  protocols   = ["SFTP"]
  domain = "EFS"

  identity_provider_type = "AWS_DIRECTORY_SERVICE"
  directory_id                   = "id-of-an-existing-ad"

resource "aws_transfer_access" "access1" {

  external_id = "S-1-1-12-1234567890-1234567890-1234567890-1234" # SID of an AD Group
  home_directory = "/fs-c4e164f0/$${transfer:Username}" # fs-c4e164f0 is the id of an EFS volume, note the double $, it's a string that must be passed as is to AWS, it isn't a terraform interpolation
  home_directory_type = "PATH"
  home_directory_mappings = [
    {
      entry = "/readme"
      target = "/general/readme"
    }
