Perhaps we'd want to limit this to when a clone (or book with a section of cloned materials) is published by a verified professor. (Students and other readers sometimes make clones for their own use and keep them private, I think we may have privacy and volume concerns with notifying authors for each of those cloning instances.)

Create a book level dashboard for authors with topline metrics:

  • number of clones
  • number of clones by verified professors
  • number of clones published by verified professors (with a link to view) [number of clones = someone was looking at the entire book and pushed clone]

Other metrics we may include:

  • Pageviews
  • Number of casebooks published by verified professors that use material from this book (these would not start as clones of an entire book, rather an author might have added a section or specific resource) (we could include a link to view)
