There's now a reasonable amount of documentation about running slim and Spree; as long as they are two separate processes I'm not completely sold on the benefits of having one script that launches both.

If such a script was to exist, it should probably send slim's info, warn, and error messages to separate files and leave stdout/stderr to Spree.
