Right now it is quite easy to create a print within HAJK with print tool.
Print results in an image or PDF.
I want to suggest that you should have a "tick" box to enable "Georefference" within image.
It could be easy done with world file that could be created together with image.
So print will create 2 files at the same time - image and worldfile.
What is the added value? If you drag file into the gis software it will land where it should on the map.
So you do not have to think where should it be placed, should I run georefferencer to digitalise map...
but just drag n'drop and it seat where it should.
I know that it is technically possible to create also a GeoPDF that will also store location information, but as far I know it stores data somehow inside. But it might be worth researching as well.
I hope you like the idea.

Here is the specification of the worldfile: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_file (just 6 text lines).
