Overview

We need to create a project deck profile card for Hack for LA presentation decks.

Action Items

  • Problem Statement
Brigades organizers and members interested to provide civic tech capabilities to local govt will benefit from having processes and best practices that make it easy to start up and manage projects, train/equip people with specific skills and implement platforms.
  • Solution Statement
Civic Tech Structure aims to improve existing structures and create new ones that make it easier to share replicable processes and practices so that organizers and members can iterate on each others work, improving outcomes for the whole network.
  • Impact/Intended Impact Statement
New brigade organizers and members will have the support and practices to be efficient, productive and effective in getting value out of the hours volunteered plus providing max value to customers.
The best practices and templates for documentation will enable communication, collaboration and reduce waste.
  • Sustainability Development Goals

Comments at page in deck include:

  • Minor tweaking of Problem Statement: "But until now, it has been impossible to create a single authoritative source. It had always required a big effort of data entry on the part of each project and marketing by the registry owner."

  • Suggestion to add another SDG: 9.C | Significantly increase access to information and communications technology and strive to provide universal and affordable access to the Internet in least developed countries by 2020
