Overview

The Content team will conduct biannual maintenance on the Food Oasis website to ensure information accuracy and tone consistency. This update is more involved than the standard content updates will be moving forward to accommodate "Mission and Values" content requests.

Mission & Values Content

• Conduct institutional memory interviews & surveys with longstanding members
• Write organizational history, mission, and values statements
• Solicit targeted feedback on statements from project leadership; edit accordingly
• Add history, mission, and values content to the "About Us" static page

Voice & Tone Guide Competitor Audit

• Conduct a competitive audit of voice and tone guide
• Review existing guide against results of the audit
• Create a list of edits needed for industry compliance
• Update Content & Style Guide based on edits

Routine Maintenance Action Items

• Research statistics ("About Us") & update as needed
• Confirm "Donate" information & update as needed
• Update "FAQ" information as needed
• Figma prototype for updated language
• Solicit feedback on the Figma prototype; make any required changes
• Pass off to design pages
• Design: create visualization for "Our Story" timeline
• Design: Finalize & coordinate with dev
• Design: Update the site (w/ dev)
• Design: Close this issue once the website has been updated

This new content will be surfaced to the homepage, with detail pages for the full content when needed. This will make the content more visible and accessible, as well as (hopefully) building trust and understanding of what we do, before user enters their address.
