Hi Bonnie,
I remember your group was looking for ways neighborhood councils
could use help with data. Well, I just ran across one.
GWNC and a few other NCs are currently considering proposing street improvements for
pedestrians and bicyclists, and it would help to have data on pedestrian and bicycle
traffic on all streets in a NC.
Presumably it would further be useful to be able to rank street segments by total
pedestrian + bike traffic, or something like that.
Also presumably the newfangled way to get that kind of info
is by estimating it from cellphone location data, but maybe
other sources are still useful.
I haven't looked for any of this yet, just thought I'd share the need.
