Overview

We need to have seperate documents for each role description category so that we can list/link to them on the website via the open roles, and use them for our job posts.

Action Items

  • Break out all of the role categories in to separate documents:
    • PM/PO : Product Manager, Product Owner, Project Manager - Ray
    • UI/UX: UI Designer, UX Designer, UX Researcher
    • Development: Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer, Full-Stack Developer - Tan
    • Ops: Data Engineer
    • QA: QA Engineer - Tan
    • Data: Data Scientist, Database Architect
    • Content: Content Strategist, UX Writer
    • SEO/Marketing: Marketing/Communications Intern, Marketing/Communications Manager, Marketing/Communications Director - Tan/Ray
    • Special Projects Coordinator - Ray
    • Business Analyst: Business Analyst - Ray
  • Update each of the docs to include a place for Volunteer Match versions of the role
  • Change the current roles document to be an index of all the other documents
  • Make sure all of the role docs are comment only
  • Create a new issue for each role category Markdown file

@ExperimentsInHonesty - Let's review this as a potential template to use for the individual Role Descriptions:

@rfambro2 the template looks good to me.

@tan-zhou please create the UI/UX role doc from template and create it in the role folder.

@rfambro2 turns out we need a few more pieces of info for the template. Tan is going to take a pass at it, based on these fields and their constraint info from this screenshot #59 (comment)

@ExperimentsInHonesty @rfambro2 I added more info to the template based on fields from the Volunteer Match screenshot. Please review.

Per discussion in 11/22 meeting, @tan-zhou will separate the remaining roles to align with the role categories on the HfLA website.

I updated the previously mentioned categories and created separate documents for Ops, Content, and QA.

@ExperimentsInHonesty - Bonnie will make a template issue for creating Role description Markdown files with separate MD file per role which will require Field category.
100Automations/Website#43

@tan-zhou - Will revise descriptions to remove excess information (Seniority Level, Industry, Job Function, etc)

@tan-zhou I've provided two comments that we should update for the Director of Marketing Role. Hope this helps.

We need to have someone create an issue on the https://github.com/hackforla/revenue repo to use the template to take the roles that chelsey made and see if the template works.
