Hi Marlene,

Thank you so much for the tour and conversation yesterday regarding having our December 9th 6-8pm, Hack for LA holiday party at one of your beautiful locations:
350 South Grand Avenue, LA, CA 90071
915 Wilshire Blvd, LA CA 90071

The following is kind of a brain dump, because I am not sure exactly what information will be the most helpful in deciding terms. I have attached a pdf overview of our org, the information below is in addition to that.

Civic Tech Structure, Inc. (CTS) is a 501(c)(3) which has two major projects.

CTS's largest project is Hack for LA (https://hackforla.org), a volunteer community of over 8,900 members. Hack for LA's volunteers build software and provide tech services to LA Government entities and Nonprofits, free of charge, to help improve life in Los Angeles. We have projects from youth homelessness and food insecurity to streamlining the permitting process for new real estate developments.

Our volunteers range from the very experienced to students, and they all work together on teams of designers, researchers, software engineers, data scientist, etc.

Hack for LA has been working with volunteers for 10 years, and up until 2020 (the pandemic) we met in person in donated spaces 3 times a week.

This year we are having a holiday party to get together with the volunteers and partners (past and present) who are in LA. We have 160 RSVPs now, and expect to have about 200 total. This will be the first time we have had a big event since the pandemic.

We have invited our government partners (past and present) to the party and have many have RSVPed

Our volunteers work at companies such as Apple, Google, Wonderful Company, Red Cross, General Motors and as teachers and government workers, etc.

We will obtain event insurance for the party.

We will be bringing in food and non alcoholic drinks. We will clean up the space after the event. We are asking for a 4 hour block
5-6 pm - setup
6-8 pm - party
8-9 pm - cleanup

As I mentioned yesterday, we have limited funds this year, but can offer visibility via our website and would be happy to add Serendipity Labs to our homepage in the Sponsors section and post on our socials if you can work with us on the price.

Best Regards,

Bonnie Wolfe
