Please review the funders from this site and see what language they use to refer to their type of funding and ROI.

At the last team meeting @vaisali89 indicated that she had reviewed some sites and determined that they use impact investing even when the impact is climate change vs return on investment.

@vaisali89 Please provide a list of sites which you reviewed

@vaisali89 At each of the sites you referenced, Impact Investing seems tied to receiving both a return on invested capital (i.e., money) with doing good for the planet.

The Funders that we are going to try find, are specifically in the grant space, where they don't expect a monetary returns, only social or positive climate impact.

I am concerned that this group of funders we hope to find, does not use the term impact investing. But rather uses another term that we don't yet know what it is. We need to figure that out before we start interviewing funders, and I believe that knowing the term they use to self identify will help us find more of them.

It's possible that if we review the sites of the funders you have found from your research on issue #40 that we might find their common language there.

I suggest putting this issue in to the prioritized backlog (unless you want to look into this). Please let me know

I will look into it @ExperimentsInHonesty. I don't want the funder interviews to be delayed because of this issue.

@vaisali89 Please provide update if you are still working on this. When we last talked, I was willing to put this in the prioritized backlog so that we can try to recruit someone else to the team to try to answer the question. At the time, you were concerned not having the info would be a blocker to doing the funder research. Do you want me to put it into the prioritized backlog now?

  1. Progress: "What is the current status of your project? What have you completed and what is left to do?"
  2. Blockers: "Difficulties or errors encountered."
  3. Availability: "How much time will you have this week to work on this issue?"
  4. ETA: "When do you expect this issue to be completed?"
  5. Pictures (if necessary): "Add any pictures that will help illustrate what you are working on."
