Why didn't you define wordlist as an array? To make it work you just have to define a reverse associative array : #!/usr/bin/env bash

nevermind, bad echo works when I go back to using the scp256k1.dc file...
of course, that's why you have it out in a file... :) |

An other point is that you should not directly use the master key to generate a bitcoin address. Use a derived key, such as m/0h/0/0. In particular, you should almost certainly use a hardened child key. |

Thanks, that works. (Though my bash required heredoc terminator at beginning of line). But, now I can't get the hardened child key to work. I'm sorry, I really tried...

fwiw, here's a first successful attempt at automatically refreshing my single file from updated versions of your separate files (brittle as heck, but shouldn't be too hard to tweak each time as needed): https://github.com/petjal/bitcoin-bash-tools/blob/feature/issues_17/bin/GetUpstream.bash That currently creates a test.bash which is an updated version of my single file script. |

Based on your good hard work, grondilu, here's my first proof of concept of a single signed file that tech folks can use to help normie family, friends, and confidants to safely start stacking sats asap.
