In #149 we opened a business bank account at Citizens. We then tried to sign up for cash management services with them (gratipay/gratipay.com#3366), and they rejected us. Our Citizens salesperson informs me that we're likely to get a letter in 30-60 days terminating our account entirely.

I stopped by Citizens. The woman I spoke with had been on the internal email thread about us; the local branch was expecting me. We definitely stirred the pot at Citizens! 🐭 💸 Due to technical difficulties at the branch, they were unable to issue a cashier's check today, so I'm going to stop back Monday to move the escrow back to New Alliance.

I opened an account at the local PNC branch today with a $100 deposit. We have 90 days to bring our balance up to the $1,500 minimum before a $12/mo fee kicks in. We get 150 transactions per month for free, beyond which they're 50¢ each. Feels good to be able to confidently answer "No" on the screen where they ask if we're engaged in money transmission. 😎

Once the PNC debit card arrives I will start updating our info at all our vendors. The list from last time is at #149 (comment). Once our bills are moved over I will close the Citizens operations account.

I got a call from our Citizens account rep, and this letter in the mail:

Our PNC debit card arrived and I activated it. On Monday I'll stop by Citizens to close our final account there (the escrow is already out; #241), and deposit that money at PNC. Monday is 10 calendar days from the date of the letter, so hopefully they don't freeze our funds before I'm able to close the account.

I've closed our Citizens account entirely, moving the remaining balance in our operations account ($2,269.86) to PNC. Now to update vendors ...

I changed our credit card at Piwik and it said it charged us successfully (I didn't capture the exact message), but I don't see a pending charge at PNC and the account management dashboard still shows that we're overdue and our analytics dashboard is also saying the same.

"Pay now" just goes to https://piwik.pro/ and I can't find a way to actually make a payment. :-(

Will they try billing us again automatically?

Subject: updated billing info, not charged

I got a failure notice about paying our bill this month, so I updated our card on file, but I'm not seeing that a) I've actually been charged, b) I will be charged again at some point in the future, or c) I can manually make a payment now. What's my next step?

Thanks! :)

If a payment fails it will try to proceed again in ten days from the last attempt,
so if you have updated your card details please ignore the prompts for payment for now.
Everything should complete on July 21, just in case I have asked our payment team to check if everything is set correctly, I'll keep you updated.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions or problems.
