I think people usually mean either Grafana Labs (when they're talking about sending data to us as an entity), Grafana Cloud (when they are talking about our SaaS service), or the Grafana website (when they are talking about docs or other things on our site). Is grafana.com actually a distinct "thing" that for our users or is just one of Grafana Cloud, Grafana Labs, or the Grafana website? |
so telling people to log in to their account at grafana.com is extremely clear. Folks know exactly what to do and where to go, so I'm not sure why adding a layer of abstraction is a good thing? I have to agree with Irene on this one. I suppose one could add the wwws and https if we were to get super nitty, but I don't see what value that would bring. that is to say, I don't think we're confusing users by referring to grafana.com |
oh, but seeing how it was used above, I think Jack is correct that we can just refer to Grafana Labs in situations where we're not directing someone to the site |
Yeah, Eve is right about the linking to a web address part. In fact if you use the full URL (including scheme), then Vale doesn't spell check that because it knows it's a URL. So perhaps the suggestion is:
