Marked as read ePubs don't open (white screen)

Steps to reproduce

1. Mark ePub as read.
2. Try to open it.

Expected behavior

The ePub starts from the beginning, as other items would.

Actual behavior

A white screen happens and nothing works.

The fix is by marking the ePub as unread.

Logs

There's nothing in the logs, but the following shows up in developer tools console.

And once you click on the page, the following part is added:
