Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]

This would be great if it worked inside the Linux VM on Chrome OS - Endpoint Verification doesn't either.

Describe the solution you'd like
A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.

I'd like the Linux VM to be able to use Endpoint Verification or Enterprise Certificates from the Chrome OS host.

Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

Can't see another way around it, especially for Endpoint Verification where the certificate is managed automatically.

Thanks for your proposal! We will discuss a strategy internally for Chrome OS and provide an update here when we have more clarity.

I've used ECP with ChromeOS Linux VM + SoftHSM and Yubikey and they work as expected.

I'm not sure if there's work left to be done here.

Thanks @jay0lee ,

Does this need anything to configure, or is it working out of the box?

When you say SoftHSM & the YubiKey, am I right in thinking you mean a keypair on the YubiKey, rather than say the Endpoint Verification certificate and/or device/user certificate on the Chrome OS host?

It works identical to what works with Linux, there's no difference in behavior. Note that EV cert would be from Chrome running under Linux on the VM, NOT the ChromeOS cert.
