Since our software and patches are distributed through debian repositories it's important to stick to a single consistent URL. This is a blocking issue for many issues that required deployment of some patched packages. Here are some options:

  • Host on a Github page (transparent reprepro configuration and commits)
  • Host on our server (repo.gokien.org, perhaps; will need some DNS tweaking)
  • Host on Launchpad (Autobuild and easy ppa addition
  • Host on sourceforge.net

We need to implement this ASAP.

I'd prefer own hosted option. However, I do not know which capacity (network, hdd, etc.) needed to host it.
Whatever the way we choose, it should point to an URL related to gokien.org

For now, our throughput should be really light. I doubt it would grow noticeably.

Temporarily, our repo is being hosted at http://gokien.github.io/debian-repo (no index.html).
