OS could:

allow users to configure SSH keys for git (.ssh/config) with an optional match hostname expression and username;
search for .git repositories automatically and allow for the addition via interface/api;
monitor for changes on the branch in use and git pull automatically;
allow users to configure the frequency of the monitor;
