Go modules asserts a definition of "stability" which is biased very strongly in favor of consumers. It is my considered belief that these expectations cannot be satisfied by projects that aren't maintained by a team of compensated experts. Consequently, I think it would be irresponsible for projects like Go kit to ever move beyond major version 0. |

I recently opened a PR (#22) and related to it there was a very long and interesting discussion about API compatibility, API design and so on ...
Looks to me the project is enough mature and stable to deserve a v1.0.0 release.
Is there anything prevents to do it?
