GNU MCU Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers 2018-12 20190101
Version 4.5.1-201901011057 is a new release; it provides several bug fixes and enhancements. The main change is the removal of some RISC-V options from the Setting page.
Binaries
Separate archives for Windows 64-bit, Linux 64-bit and macOS 64-bit are provided. The official Eclipse build scripts no longer produce 32-bit binaries.
As for the standard Eclipse distributions, there is no need for any install procedure, simply unpack the archive and move the Eclipse folder at a place of your choice. Having multiple Eclipse instances for different projects is not only allowed, but encouraged.
macOS
On macOS, if you downloaded the archive with the browser, remove the com.apple.quarantine
extended attribute, otherwise the application will run from a randomised path and you won't be able to store persistent changes.
$ xattr -d com.apple.quarantine 20190101-1939-gnumcueclipse-4.5.1-2018-12-R-macosx.cocoa.x86_64.tar.gz
After un-archiving, check/remove the attribute from the Eclipse.app folder too:
$ xattr -d com.apple.quarantine Eclipse.app
Known problems
- none
