when using the /player [player name] spawn command, it fails to spawn the correct player with some players, but then some other players load perfectly fine. 2 examples are "Marlowww" and "FerrreMC". they spawn with a default skin and all the letters of their name tag are uncapitalized. at first i thought it had something to do with capitalized letters in the usernames, but "TheobaldTheBot" works perfectly fine. i also installed a fresh new minecraft with a fresh new carpet mod onto my laptop, and it still had the same issue.

Number one, try using a nametag to change them. Number two, are you running the Nasa Supercomputer? 2961 FPS?

first let me give some more context. i recently build a new pc at my mothers house, and i used an usb stick to backup the c disk of my pc at my dads house (my minecraft is on C ofcourse) so the minecraft installations of my 2 pcs match, and i didnt change anything big like installing mods on my mothers pc. then i downloaded theobalds practise map on my mothers pc ( uses a carpet bot that can fight you or just be an npc) and it a carpet bot called "TheobaldTheBot". i decided that i wanted to change the bot so i edited all the command blocks and all the files in the datapack so that every "TheobaldTheBot" is replaced with "Marlowww" and it works perfectly fine here, but when i sent the world file to my pc at my dads house and ran it, it spawned "marlowww" instead of "Marlowww". i then created a new world and tried to spawn "Marlowww" there but it also spawned "marlowww". i then went onto my laptop where i also have a copy of my minecraft installation and removed all my mods, then reinstalled the edited carpet mod that the map uses called "carpet pvp". here it also had the same issue, so i tried to use the normal carpet mod which still had the same issue. i also had issues with a leaderboard on a server with the heads of players being replaced with default skin heads. at this point i assumed that it was a problem with like the skin database or something so i made this issue, but i just got back to my moms house and the bot works perfectly fine here, no issues. also note that the world file cant be the cause, becasue i never installed this edited world onto my laptop which still had the same problems. do you know what could be causing this? i would really like to fix it without reinstalling my minecraft and all my mods. also renaming with a nametag wouldnt work because the bot needs to be respawned sometimes. oh, and no sadly i dont have a nasa supercomputer, i have a 14900k with a 4070 and some performance enhancing mods.

I asked Reddit, and I'll check back in later, because i'm stumped. I'll tell you what's wrong once I have enough data to summarize the issue.
