Improving experience for JVM users using IntellJ with prebuilds

Context

JVM users using IntellJ have a great experience using Gitpod

Acceptance Criteria

  • IDE opens fast and smart features like code completion is available immediately (pre-indexing works)
  • IDE pick ups up right config (e.g user configured JDK) without any hacks on our side
  • At least one project for Maven and Gradle are used to test

We observe usage of IntellJ increase for JVM users
