Next version release/tag

Hello,

Are there any plans to create a release or version tag in the near future?

We are using whisper.cpp in our C++ Conan project and we depend on changes added in #1060 (to prevent whisper.cpp from printing to stdout & stderror) which means we unfortunately can not use the current ConanCenter recipe.

We would like to submit an update PR to the ConanCenter recipe once a new version has been created.

+1, I'm waiting on a new release for whisper.rs to ensure it's somewhat more stable. Currently have a draft PR that patches to 8e46ba8 but don't want to merge it into master.

+1 I´m also waiting for the R wrapper at https://github.com/bnosac/audio.whisper for a stable release (R wrapper currently uses 1.2.1). Would love to include the diarization features, but I prefer to wait for a stable release.

Sorry for the delay.

The plan is to sync latest ggml and add full GPU offload + refactoring to utilize ggml-alloc (#1220)
Hopefully by the end of the week will make a new release
