We need some way to have the doc reflect the version of the s/w and keep old versions around (and allow for the upcoming version).

So https://geopaparazzi.github.io/geopaparazzi/ would always point to the doc for the currently released version, but something like https://geopaparazzi.github.io/geopaparazzi/v5.5 would point to the doc for that version.
And we would need https://geopaparazzi.github.io/geopaparazzi/next for an upcoming release.

And would we have branches in the usermanual github for each release?

Hi Brent, I completely agree with you.

Also, regarding the domain, I have finally been able to aquire geopaparazzi.org. I would like to do what necessary to make all of the above be:

http://www.geopaparazzi.org/v5.5
http://www.geopaparazzi.org/next

I am not really good with this github->domain matching CRecords or how they are called. Can someone help me so that I don't loose too much time in this?

I agree for the branches in the usermanual.

We could define a day to make this happen supported by a gitter chat?
