Getting Started With Matrix & MM Relay

If you're new to Matrix (or even if you're not!), we invite you to join our project's room.

First, download and install the Element client for the operating system of your choice. (Although an Element web client is available, we recommend using standalone versions for a smoother experience.)

Once Element is installed, follow this link and then click "Continue" under the Element section and you'll be guided to our room.

These initial steps will help you get familiar with Matrix's basic functionality, which in turn will help provide a better understanding of the relay's configuration options. Once you've joined our project's room, we'll be able to help you further.

Alternatively, if you have problem with the matrix.to link above, once Element is installed you can click the "Explore Rooms" button located in the top left corner of Element:

And then search for "mmrelay" and click "Join":
