another wiki page like the polling one but for getting perfect sync

  • selecting the right song to sync to
  • syncing audio/global offset
  • compensating for tv lag if you're feeling picky

Starting point from facebook thread:
Short version is that globalOffsetSeconds will adjust everything, so first set that right purely by ear. Then I think it's visualDelaySeconds in Preferences.ini that does the display lag. I've set mine to be visual offset = global offset - tv lag I think (It's been a while).

Calibrating is easiest if you've first sorted your polling rate to be 1ms (It's hard to get your offset perfect if the input is only checked every 12ms). Then play ecfa mode with decents/way offs disabled, so the timing graph resolution is increased.

Also should go without saying but use a properly synced chart for testing. Anything synced by mute would be considered the gold standard if you want ITG offset/etc.
