What would you like to be added:

Currently all machines have a public IP and communicate with each other using that public ip.
Metal now offers support for a metal gateway which can be used to deploy all machines in a private subnet and still connect to the internet.

Why is this needed:

Do not use public ips for machines and allow connection to the internet via 1 IP address.
This should address an issue with the gardener vpn gardener/vpn2#31
