Issue created from fantomas-online

Code

let msgQueue =
    MailboxProcessor<string>.Start
        (fun inbox ->
            async {
                while true do
                    let! msg = inbox.Receive()
                    do! sw.WriteLineAsync(msg) |> Async.AwaitTask
            })

let msgQueue =
    MailboxProcessorNonGeneric.Start
        (fun inbox ->
            async {
                while true do
                    let! msg = inbox.Receive()
                    do! sw.WriteLineAsync(msg) |> Async.AwaitTask
            })

Result

let msgQueue =
    MailboxProcessor<string>.Start
        (fun inbox ->
            async {
                while true do
                    let! msg = inbox.Receive()
                    do! sw.WriteLineAsync(msg) |> Async.AwaitTask
            })

let msgQueue =
    MailboxProcessorNonGeneric.Start(fun inbox ->
        async {
            while true do
                let! msg = inbox.Receive()
                do! sw.WriteLineAsync(msg) |> Async.AwaitTask
        })

Problem description

There is a subtle difference because of the <string> part here.
Relevant for #2696 as well, both expression should not be consider a chain.

Extra information

  • The formatted result breaks my code.
  • The formatted result gives compiler warnings.
  • I or my company would be willing to help fix this.
