rgis is an impressive project, but one feature that seems to be missing, and which I noticed in galileo, is the ability for the map to stick to the mouse pointer during dragging. Ideally, the position under the mouse cursor should remain the same throughout the entire dragging process. This functionality would greatly enhance the user experience by providing smoother and more intuitive map navigation.

I unfortunately don't have the time to look into this in the short term. If you want to take a stab at it let me know and I can give you some code pointers!
