We now have APIs where people can put their PACER credentials and we'll get stuff from PACER for them. We can take this a few steps further. I think we should add links to PDFs and dockets that allow one of two approaches. Either you can:

  1. Get an update using our PACER credentials, for a small fee to us. The fee could be 50¢ greater than the cost of the purchase, say. It has to be a little larger to cover our credit card fees, but we might as well charge a bit for the service. Maybe we just charge $3 for everything and call it a day.

Anyway, you pay the small fee, we go and get the update, and then send you an email. Something like that.

Or:

  1. Alternatively, people could use their own PACER credentials for free.

I think buttons like this could be pretty popular with folks that don't have PACER accounts for whatever reason, or that just want something now, without dealing with PACER.
