Description

When you log into the JI after waiting for the length of the timeout period specified in config.py, you see the expiration message on the index page.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure session timeout to be 2 minutes instead of the default 120 minutes
  2. Go to the Journalist Interface
  3. Wait for just over 2 minutes
  4. Log in

Expected Behavior

To see the index page without a message that your session expired, since you just logged in.

Actual Behavior

You see the index page with the session expiration message as reported earlier by @kushaldas

I also confirmed that this happens on 1.6.0 so I'm updating the issue title and description.

Relatively low priority edge case, so parking in near-term backlog for now.

Encountered the following behavior today:

  1. Left Admin Workstation running overnight
  2. Attempted to log in via what seemed to me to be a fresh Tor Browser session

Instead of logging in, got the "your session expired" message. Second login attempt succeeded. I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can repro again.
