In terms of post-merge QA, I plan to intentionally break a VM (following the steps in (freedomofpress/securedrop-builder#189), then run the graphical updater to confirm the issue is resolved. Mentioning here prior to merge in case others want to verify, as well.

I don't see the package live after the merge @conorsch . It also looks like we didn't get September 1 nightlies, so i reopened freedomofpress/securedrop-workstation#606 to track
