I'd like to be able to see rates related to fuel consumption, in particular gallons (liters) per hour, and miles (km) per gallon (liter), in metric, imperial, and american units (american gallons are smaller than imperial gallons).
These values are not available to be read over OBD port and must be calculated.
There are a number of different possible calculations available; based on MAF (accuracy can be improved by incorporating AF/O2 sensor readings), based on injector pulse timing (fuel consumption rate is direct proportion to length and frequency of injector pulse).
All options should allow fine tuning to scale the calculations based on actual measurements.
