Thank you for reaching out! We don't have an api for that yet though it should be fairly straightforward
adding support for something as sideloading: https://docs.mapbox.com/android/maps/overview/offline/#offline-sideloading.
This API will allow you to provide an alternate database instead of the default one.
An API where you can schedule and download offline tiles on the fly is going to be more work.
