Hi there,

If kdenlive is run as flatpack ()Installed form flathub) it seems that I cannot select gimp (Also flatpack) and audacity (also flatpack) at all as options in the environment options.

Did I install it incorrectly?

I think you installed it correctly, but due to flatpaks sandbox architecture it is not (yet?) possible to access other apps from within a flatpak. This discussion is related as far as I can see: flatpak/xdg-desktop-portal#283

Thank for this reply. I think the obvious answer for me is to ditch flatpack and make use of AppImage. As much as I love a flatpak system-wide installation and I love the privacy and security the sandbox brings, none of this is important to me when it messes with my workflow and how the app is designed. Its just sad when an OS makes a universal call for flatpak and it messes with our day to day getting things done. So grateful for the app image till this mes gets resolved,
(by mess I mean the damage it makes to my day to day workflow)
