This is how YT looks nowadays and the add-on no longer works :(

By the way, any time the button goes missing due to layout, you can open the download panel with the browser's addon icon.

I'm thinking - stop following the ever changing YT layout. You could simply add a floating icon somewhere, e.g. in the top right of the screen. I've no idea how you find streams to download - that still probably needs constant maintenance but at least you could free yourself from design changes woes.

They do have a consistent button, in the Add-ons bar. If you don't see it, add it in Customize Toolbar.

However, I did notice that while the downloads still work just fine, it suddenly stopped merging the audio and video files with the Youtube update.
