I'm looking for some advice on a problem I'm trying to solve getting android to communicate with the CH340 serial interface on a Creality 4.2.7. board. Given this excellent work on octo4a which, I just discovered today (and technically solves my problem) I'm sure this problem is fairly trivial to those in the know, but I am out of my depth!
The problem:
I would like to repurpose an old oneplus3 as hardware to run klipper to control my ender 5 and use it's touchscreen as an interface; facilitated by the excellent klipperscreen. I have set up a debian image on the phone within linux deploy, installed klipper and all it's dependencies now the final hurdle is connecting klipper to the printer. It seems the kernel on my device lacks the requisite module for klipper to communicate with the CH340. Of course this connection can easily be established by octo4a, but I'm guessing it's not available system-wide (let alone let alone to my debian image running inside a container). Is there a simple way to make this happen? The phone is rooted, if this will help me?
If this is too complex, is it possible to use the klipper extension in octo4a and have klipperscreen as an interface, so I can still achieve what I'm after?
