Summary

What we're after:
Users like to have the most up to date version of the regulations possible. Right now we've got some rules that became effective in 2019 so they aren't in the 2019 edition of 11 CFR (they'll be in the 2020 edition according to OGC). However, they're important rules. We need to decide whether we should just continue to reload e-regs annually when the xml file of 11 CFR is updated by GPO, or adjust somehow for rules passed in the interim.

We list the rules that will be in the next printed edition at https://www.fec.gov/legal-resources/regulations/#11-cfr and link to them on SERS there.

To do

  • Talk to stakeholders in OGC Policy about how often/when to update e-regs
  • Create implementation ticket if needed to load newer e-regs.
