Gather needed information to prepare Wagtail pages for promoting upcoming educational outreach events (webinars and conferences) #1785

What we're after: As part of its mission, the Information Division regularly hosts regional conferences (August of non-election year through February of election year) and webinars (usually monthly) on campaign finance law for the regulated community. RAD and Information also present regular webinars on FEC reporting. These events are advertised and supported via the website's educational outreach pages, which are currently housed on transition.

To prepare to migrate these pages into Wagtail, we need to identify what our needs will be for the new pages (tables, images, etc.) and the timeframes that would apply to when a specific page would be needed for a specific event. We also need to consider what a contractor might need from our pages, as the FEC will change conference coordinators in the next fiscal year. Finally, we'll need to consider creating collections in Wagtail for conference and webinar materials. (We currently have one for promotional material and images.)

Here are examples of what is needed for each event. (Note: contractor handles registration and payment, so that is not needed.) (Edited to note that the FEC will be switching to using pay.gov.)

We've set up our meeting for 8/22 with @JonellaCulmer and the Info staff who plan outreach events. After that meeting, we'll close this issue and continue work in #1787

We've had our meeting and decided on next steps for how we'll move forward on outreach pages.

The next steps for the forthcoming pages will be done in #1787.
