The inventory conducted for https://github.com/18F/fec-cms/issues/1472 revealed that there are a number of pages on the transition site that need to come down altogether. This is because they are publications that were retired (for example, see issues #1215, #1162, #1161) or the content has been fully integrated onto the redesigned fec.gov (for example, tips for treasurers). The purpose of this issue is to take these outdated and/or retired pages down, and steer people to the place on the website where they can find the current information.

A list of the pages in question can be found in the inventory spreadsheet, under the tab "Transition pages to take down soon."

*This issue is intended for the PI5 epic of U/X Content Optimization

Completion criteria:

  • Get buy-in from any relevant offices or divisions to take a page down.
  • Take the transition pages in question completely down
  • Implement redirects for anyone who may have linked or bookmarked those specific pages, to steer them in the correct direction.
