Is there any way to use the printer main baord pins instead of the raspberry GPIO pins? #14

I'm wondering if there is a way to connect the MKS TFT35 to pins on a BTT SKR mini e3 v2 board instead of the raspberry pi GPIO pins.

I suspect the is a good reason why this is not possible but I lack the knowledge

Not possible. Despite of Klipperscreen being a Klipper add-on, it actually not managed by Klipper at all, it's just a GUI to show status and send commands to Klipper firmware, and the screen drivers are heavily dependent on the device tree loaded in Kernel.

But you can use the spare pinout of the 3d printer MCU board for other stuff, which can be configured straight into the printer.cfg.
