testing different Bit Meters and Bit Reduction plugins...

Tracktion Cruncher linux
VB-Audio Bit_Reducer vst2,
MDA Decimator, vst2 vst3 linux 32 & 64 bits
plugin.org.uk LADSPA
SSL X-ISM vst2
etc...

when reducing 24-Bit audio signal to 8-Bits...
it should be 0-Bits "Empty region,"
but instead its All 11111111 when there is signal present...
when there is No signal, its all 00000000.

X-ISM gui 24-Bit is labeled Up, should be Down.
but meter works ok, 24 is down.

i got curious because JAPA & JAAA does Not work in pulse audio,
detects 8bits, but PulseAudio does Not run outside configuration parameters.
default is s16le 44.1KHz
needs to be configured manually for S24, & 96KHz

$ cat /etc/pulse/daemon.conf

i have pulseaudio forced to 24-Bits, ffmpeg SRC resampler.

but inside Carla plugin to plugin should make No difference.
